Meet Our Attorneys
Tom is a native of Belton, Texas. He has practiced law in Temple since 1976 when he joined the firm of Bowmer, Courtney, Burleson, Pemberton & Normand. When that firm merged with Naman, Howell, Smith and Lee, Tom remained in the Temple office. In 2012, he opened his own office in Temple. He is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in the fields of estate planning and probate law.
Tom is a graduate of the University of Texas and Baylor Law School, where he was the editor of the Baylor Law Review. He also holds a Master of Law in Taxation from George Washington University and is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American College of Trust and Estate Council.
Mindi was raised on a farm in a small town east of Lubbock, Texas. She graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. from Texas A&M University in 1999 and received her J.D. from the University of Oklahoma School of Law in May 2005. Immediately following law school, Mindi practiced in the Wealth Planning & Probate section of a Texas Panhandle law firm. Her practice there included both simple and complex estate planning, business planning, charitable planning, estate and trust administration, the preparation of federal gift and estate tax returns, fiduciary representation, guardianship administration, forming private foundations and public charities, and obtaining and maintaining federal and state tax exempt status for private foundations and public charities.
Mindi has practiced law in Central Texas since 2014 and was certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Estate Planning and Probate Law in 2015.
She enjoys serving her Bell and Williamson county clients and their families, consulting with other attorneys and professionals about her practice areas, and writing and speaking within her practice areas. When she’s not doing these things, she enjoys exploring new places through travel and books and being anywhere her husband and their two children are.
